Biography

Peggy was born in Chicago (go Cubs) and raised in a small farm town before moving to New Jersey in her teen years. She has been in Reno for more than 30 years.

She has spent her entire career working in mental health nursing, both in clinical settings and in teaching. Peggy was an assistant professor of nursing for two years at the University of Virginia and taught psychiatric nursing for one year in Tabriz, Iran. She worked several years at Friends Hospital in Philadelphia, PA before moving to Denver, CO where she worked at two different community mental health clinics. Prior to joining Community Health Alliance, Peggy worked at Northern Nevada Adult Mental Health Services for over 25 years.

Peggy has been a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing since 1973, and is currently a member of the American Nurses Association and the Nevada Nurses Association.

Personal Interests

Peggy enjoys gardening, watching football, and going to plays and rock concerts. She is a thrift store and auction junkie and likes refinishing furniture. She also enjoys spending time with her children and pets.
