What We Do
We are health providers, and we take care of all of you. Community Health Alliance is a health center that believes in a personal approach to health care—one that centers around you, the patient. We help you get the care you need in order to live a healthy life. C.H.A. offers quality medical and dental care for everyone from infants to seniors. With 6 convenient locations, we’re the largest primary health care provider to low-income individuals and families in Northern Nevada.
Just come visit us; we’ll help handle the rest.
C.H.A. provides an extensive range of health care screening and prevention services, comprehensive primary care for all ages, pharmacy, dental services (preventive and treatment), management of chronic diseases, outreach to and services for homeless individuals and families, and behavioral health care. In addition, C.H.A. manages a W.I.C. Program (Women, Infants and Children’s Program). After the merger of H.A.W.C. Community Health Centers and Saint Mary’s Mission Outreach Program on July 1, 2012, Community Health Alliance (the new organization) grew and provided more than 120,000 patient visits in 2014.
C.H.A. is a Federally Qualified Health Center and receives funding from the Department of Health and Human Services, Health Resources and Services Administration. C.H.A. and its employees are deemed under the Federal Tort Claims Act. This means that the health centers, our employees, and eligible contractors are considered federal employees immune from suit for medical malpractice claims while acting within the scope of their employment.
