Biography

Born and raised in California, Susan has lived in Central Valley working with agricultural workers, in Yosemite Valley at Yosemite National Park’s Medical Clinic, in the Bay Area, and in San Diego. Susan spent many years working in emergency medicine at the county emergency department in Oakland, CA. Along with her husband, Susan has also owned and operated her own health-centered gym.

Personal Interests

Skiing (both Telemark and backcountry), hiking, backpacking, cycling, camping—most anything that gets her outdoors. Susan enjoys spending time with her family and her grandson. She also has two furry family members: CATS!
