Community Health Alliance Partners with the Food Bank of Northern Nevada to Provide the Janssen (Johnson and Johnson) COVID-19 Vaccine to Mobile Harvest Participants

In partnership with the Food Bank of Northern Nevada, Community Health Alliance will be administering the Janssen (Johnson and Johnson) COVID-19 vaccine to individuals 18 and older in need of food assistance. Community Health Alliance will be joining the Food Bank of Northern Nevada at their upcoming Mobile Harvest distribution events:

 

  • Monday, June 7 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Desert Skies Middle School, located at 7550 Donatello Drive, Sun Valley 89433 | Google Map
  • Wednesday, June 16 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the Baldini’s Casino parking lot, located at 865 South Rock Boulevard, Sparks, NV 89431 | Google Map

“We are excited to partner with Community Health Alliance for mobile vaccination clinics,” said Jocelyn Lantrip, director of marketing and communications for the Food Bank of Northern Nevada. “Combining food distributions with vaccine clinics makes a lot of sense for the people we serve and we are happy to be able to offer these services together.”

 

“Improving access to the COVID-19 vaccine is vital to the health of our community,” said Oscar Delgado, CEO of Community Health Alliance. “When the Food Bank of Northern Nevada is distributing healthy foods to families who are food insecure, Community Health Alliance will be administering a life-saving vaccine.”

 

If you are interested in receiving the COVID-19 vaccine during the Food Bank of Northern Nevada’s Mobile Harvest distribution events, please be prepared to fill out a brief vaccine consent form. Appointments are not needed for the upcoming mobile vaccine clinics.
