Resources on this page are here to help to connect you with helpful resources in the community, like classes, food resources, and summer camps for kids.
Food resources for Fall 2020:
- School lunches: Even if your child is distance learning, they are still able to receive school lunches. Click here to find out how to order meals or apply for low-cost meals
- Delivering with Dignity: If you are at high risk for COVID-19 and are unable to have food brought to your home, you may be eligible for the “Delivering with Dignity” program that can deliver warm meals straight to your door. Ask you primary care provider about a referral to the program.
- Community Health Alliance has a prescription food pantry just for patients. Talk to your primary care provider if you would like to access the pantry
The Food Bank of Northern Nevada is currently offering lunch for kids (ages 1-18) during school closures at 24 different locations. Breakfasts and lunches are both available in a “grab and go” style.
Reno Bike Project is offering cycling classes for middle and high school students who already know how to ride a bike, but may not have their own bike or the confidence to ride solo. The session runs two days per week from August 31st through December 10th, and costs $75 for that entire session. Scholarships are available.
