Our pharmacy has chosen to make some changes to our process in order to comply with social distancing. We are limiting the amount of people allowed into the Wells Ave. health center pharmacy to five (5) people at one time, standing 6 ft. apart. We will continue to deliver prescriptions outside to patients who have temperatures to limit exposure to both our staff and other patients within the pharmacy.
As a non-profit health center, C.H.A. receives special pricing from pharmaceutical companies for our patients.
Our in-house pharmacy is a part of a 340B program. What does that mean for patients? Highly discounted medication, sometimes as much as 90%+ off of regular retail pricing. This makes paying for prescription drugs manageable for uninsured patients. C.H.A. also has agreements with local pharmacies to provide low-cost prescriptions for our patients. We take all Medicare and Medicaid, most private insurances, and have a sliding scale fee for those without insurance.
We are also able to provide immunizations and have a VFC program for preventative care through our pharmacy.
