Biography
Brooke and her husband have raised their children here in Northern Nevada beginning in 1986. Brooke’s professional focus has been working with the medically underserved population, many of whom are immigrants. Her ability to converse in Spanish makes bridging cultural gaps easier. She especially enjoys working with young families, adolescents, and promoting contraceptive practices. Brooke helped develop and grow two mission clinics which are now part of Community Health Alliance. Being a part of this ever-growing and expanding program is what fuels her interest in the current healthcare arena. Brooke also precepts nurse practitioner and physician assistant graduate students in the clinical setting. Brooke was awarded the Saint Mary’s Nurse of the Year Award along with the Nurse Practitioner Achievement Award.
Personal Interests
Brooke finds fulfillment outside of her professional duties by serving on the SPCA of Northern Nevada Board of Directors (plus she walks a lot of dogs). Brooke is a lifelong Unitarian Universalist. She enjoys gardening, any physical activity outside, and time with family and friends.
