Biography

William Lara is honored to serve as a physician assistant in primary care at Community Health Alliance, drawing on his deep Nevada roots and diverse clinical experiences as he cares for individuals and families throughout the community. He grew up in Mesquite, NV, and completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Nevada, Reno, which provided a strong foundation for his continued dedication to Nevada’s patient care and wellness.

Prior to his clinical training, he spent nearly five years working as an emergency room lead scribe role that allowed him to support physicians, gain firsthand exposure to acute care, and develop strong skills in medical documentation and teamwork. These experiences shaped his commitment to comprehensive, patient-centered care and have prepared him to serve patients in a fast-­paced primary care setting.

He is passionate about improving access to health care for the Spanish-speaking community, and he strives to make all patients feel welcome and respected by offering care in both English and Spanish. He is excited to be part of Community Health Alliance, where the mission is to provide skilled, compassionate, and equity-focused healthcare for Northern Nevada.

Personal Interests

Outside of work, he enjoys rock climbing, snowboarding, pickleball, soccer, and hiking. Also, he enjoys watching anime, building Legos, and spending time with his dog Grizz. He believes these activities not only foster wellness but also reflect his enthusiasm for an active, balanced lifestyle.
