Biography: Esmeralda was born in Mexico and immigrated to the United States as a child. For the past 33 years, Reno has been her home. She received her master’s in social work at the University of Nevada, Reno. In addition, she earned a minor in Addiction Treatment Services through the Center for the Application of Substance Abuse Technologies (CASAT). As an intern, she provided mental health services in an inpatient setting treating adults and adolescents with acute mental health conditions. She also has experience working in an outpatient setting as a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor Intern.
Personal Interests: She enjoys spending time with her two dogs, reading and watching movies. Also, when she finds the time, she likes to work out and practice meditation.
