Health Insurance and Medicaid Enrollment Support

Health insurance programs can change over time, and new Medicaid eligibility and renewal requirements may affect coverage for some individuals and families beginning in 2027. That’s why our team is here to help you understand your options and stay connected to the care you need.

Everyone who visits our health centers is screened for programs that may help make health care more affordable, including Medicaid, Medicare, Marketplace health plans, and Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits. Our experienced Exchange Enrollment Facilitators can help with applications, renewals, eligibility questions, and coverage changes.

What May Be Changing For Some Medicaid Members

Beginning in 2027, some adults enrolled in Medicaid may have new requirements to keep their coverage.

Medicaid Renewals May Be Required Twice a Year

In the past, most Medicaid members renewed their coverage once each year. Under the new rules, some adults may need to renew their Medicaid coverage every six months. Completing renewals on time is important to avoid interruptions in coverage.

Work, School, or Community Engagement Requirements May Apply

Some Medicaid members may need to complete 80 hours per month of qualifying activities to maintain coverage. Activities that may count include:

• Working at a paid job
• Participating in a job training, apprenticeship, or trade program
• Volunteering or completing community service
• Attending school at least part-time
• Self-employment with earnings of at least $580 per month
• Seasonal employment averaging at least $580 per month during a six-month season

Different activities can be combined to meet the 80-hour monthly requirement.

Some People May Be Exempt

Certain individuals may not be required to meet these participation requirements, including people who:

• Are pregnant
• Have qualifying medical conditions or disabilities
• Care for young children
• Are under age 18
• Are over age 65
• Are Native American, as defined by applicable law

What You Can Do Now

To help protect your healthcare coverage:

1. Visit the Nevada Medicaid website to review your current status and any actions you may need to take.
2. Make sure your mailing address, phone number, and contact information are up to date.
3. Open and save all letters and notices you receive from the State of Nevada.
4. Contact our Enrollment Team right away if you have questions or are unsure what steps to take.
