Community Health Alliance (CHA) will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Wednesday, May 13, from 1 to 2:30 p.m. at the Neil Road Health Center, 3915 Neil Rd, Reno, NV 89502, to celebrate the completion of its expanded and remodeled facilities.

The $8.6 million project, made possible through a partnership with the City of Reno, includes a 4,000-square-foot addition and a comprehensive remodel of the existing 5,120-square-foot facility. This expansion will enable the center to serve an additional 4,000 patients annually, increasing its total capacity to 7,500 individuals.

“This ribbon-cutting marks an important milestone for Community Health Alliance and for the families who rely on us for accessible, high-quality care,” said Oscar Delgado, President and CEO of Community Health Alliance. “Thanks to the City of Reno’s partnership and investment, the expanded Neil Road Health Center will allow us to serve thousands more patients each year with integrated services that address the whole person—from primary care and behavioral health to pharmacy support and nutritious food access. Together, we are building a healthier future for our community.”

The City of Reno contributed $5 million toward the project, utilizing funds from the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA). This investment underscores the city’s commitment to improving healthcare accessibility for underserved communities.

“The Neil Road Health Center is exactly the kind of investment our community needs,” said Reno Mayor Hillary Schieve. “Everyone deserves access to quality healthcare, no matter their circumstances. This center will make a real difference for families across Reno by making wraparound care more accessible and bringing it closer to home. The City of Reno is proud to partner with CHA on a project that strengthens our community and helps ensure people can get the care they need, when they need it.”

The expanded facility now features new medical exam rooms, dedicated behavioral health spaces, an on-site pharmacy, and a prescription food pantry. These enhancements aim to provide integrated, high-quality healthcare services to the community.

Parking for the event will be available at the Neil Road Recreation Center and Miguel Ribera Park. Community members are invited to join the celebration and tour the new facilities.
