Behavioral Health

As part of our integrated care program, our behavioral health program serves to help patients navigate mental, emotional or behavioral issues that contribute to chronic pain, substance abuse, depression, anxiety and more.

It may seem odd or strange for you to speak with a behavioral health specialist at your medical visit. Initially, it may appear to be an unnecessary step in your healthcare.

However, over the years medical professionals have learned how closely connected our thoughts, emotions, decisions and behaviors are to our physical health. For example, chronic headaches or digestive issues may be a result of poor stress management. Elevated stress levels negatively contribute to almost every health condition including diabetes, hypertension, pain, inflammation, etc.
Poor health can also cause poor mental health and lead us to feel sad, depressed, anxious or even angry. As part of our integrated care program, our behavioral health and wellness program serves to help patients navigate mental, emotional or behavioral issues that often make already unwelcome health conditions worse. We assess and treat the whole self rather than parts of self in order for you to live a happier, healthier life.

Our trained behavioral health providers will often visit you at the same time as your medical visit to provide consultation and problem solving to improve your health. They are also available for 1:1 appointments for more intensive interventions. If you are a patient that believes these services would be of benefit to you, talk with your medical provider about meeting with a behavioral health provider at your next appointment.

Thank you for being my doctor!

Your clinic helps so many people and moves them through very efficiently.  I never mind waiting because I know you are helping someone.  And, when you come in to see me you always give me your full attention, as if I am your only patient.  Your good will and positive intent always shine through. Thank you for being my doctor.

I feel like I just walked in and won the lottery

I feel like I just walked in and won the lottery…I lost one tooth 2 years ago and I was heartbroken and said I never wanna lose a tooth again. I have been so scared that I would not be able to afford my teeth and now I know I can! I am so so so happy! Thank you thank you thank you from the bottom of my heart!
