Women, Infants, and Children (WIC)
Providing nutrition education, breastfeeding support services, supplemental nutritious foods and referrals to health and social services.
Community Health Alliance is the second largest Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) provider in northern Nevada. Our WIC program provides nutrition education, breastfeeding support services, supplemental nutritious foods and referrals to health and social services. We also offer additional one-on-one support, monthly virtual support groups, and can provide internal and external referrals to an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), who provides expert breastfeeding and lactation care.
Our WIC participants range from working to non-working families, and we do not limit eligibility on the basis of citizenship or immigration status. We offer WIC services at our health centers in Reno and Sparks, as well as various community centers, resource centers and schools.
