Community Health Alliance and Washoe County School District Host Back-to-School Vaccine Clinics in July and August

Community Health Alliance (CHA) is partnering with the Washoe County School District (WCSD) to host back-to-school vaccine clinics at select schools throughout July and August. Required vaccines for the upcoming school year will be available for students entering kindergarten and older who have not yet met Nevada’s school immunization requirements.
In Nevada, the Tdap (tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis) and meningococcal (MCV4) vaccines are required for all students entering 7th grade and for new students enrolling in grades 7–12 in the WCSD. Students entering 12th grade in Nevada schools are also required to receive the MenACWY (also known as MCV4) vaccine. Additional recommended vaccines, including HPV (human papillomavirus), Hepatitis A, and others, will also be available. A parent or legal guardian must be present for all vaccinations.
Thanks to CHA’s presenting sponsor, Molina Healthcare of Nevada, free vaccines are available for uninsured children while supplies last. Insurance is not required to receive a vaccine. However, if your child has insurance, please bring your insurance card to the appointment.
Walk-ins are welcome on a first-come, first-served basis, but appointments are encouraged and will receive priority. Schedule an appointment here. Please bring your ID, insurance card, and your child’s immunization records if you are new to Nevada.
If your child needs to establish care with a medical provider, please call (775) 329-6300 to schedule an appointment with CHA. New patients of all ages are welcome.
